About Us
The Family & Youth Enhancement Program’s (F&YEP) goal is to provide preventative and supportive activities that would assist youths and families in developing sustainable basic skills. Program goals and objectives is to eliminate at-risk behaviors and provide opportunities for more positive lifestyle, enhancing their capacity to make healthier life choices and achieve self-sufficiency. F&YEP is divided into three sections and also provides services at the Juvenile Detention Facility.

What services does the F&YEP provide?
The Family and Youth Enhancement Program provides the following services to youth and their families:

What programs are available for youth?
Anger Replacement Training ® (ART): Intervention for Aggressive Youth
For Ages: 11-17 years old
Duration: 10 weeks
Focus: Social Skills | Anger Control | Moral Reasoning
Botvin Life Skills: Substance Abuse Prevention Program
For Ages: 11-17 years old
Duration: 12 weeks
Focus: Drug Resistance Skills | Personal Self-Management Skills | Positive Social Skills
Matrix Teen-Intervene: Intervention with Substance-Abusing Adolescents
For Ages: 13-21 years old
Duration: 16 weeks with possible 12 months extended care
Focus: Lifestyle Changes | Relapse Prevention | Family Involvement
What programs are available for adults?
Early Childhood S.T.E.P. (Systematic Training for Effective Parenting)
For: Parents of children under 6 years old
Duration: 7 sessions (2 hours per session)
Overview: A course that provides a look at the long-term goals of parenting, information on how your children think, feel, act, and skills that can increase your enjoyment and effectiveness as a parent
Common Sense Parenting
For: Parents and caretakers of children 6-12 years old
Duration: 6 sessions (2 hours per session)
Overview: Designed as a practical approach to help parents be more positive with their children and to use their children to cooperate and behave in a more positive, desired, and acceptable manner. This program emphasized “Disciplining from the Heart.”
Active Parenting Now and of Teens
For: Parents and caretakers of children 12-18 years old
Duration: 6 sessions (2 hours per session)
Overview: This program provides the guidance and support needed to turn the challenges of raising a teenager into opportunities for growth.
CNMI Parent Training and Information Center for Leadership in Disability Achievement
Overview: This program takes place at the Kagman Community Center (KCC). The parent resource room provides training and information to parents of infants, toddlers, school-aged children, and young adults with disabilities and to the professionals that serve them.
